新年度がスタートしてもうすぐ１か月が経ちました。
慣らし保育も終え、泣いてる時間が短くなったり視野が広がって楽しい時間も増えているように感じます。
It has almost been been a month since the new school year began.
The adjustment period is now over, and we have noticed that the children are crying less, becoming more comfortable in their environment, and broadening their horizons as they enjoy many happy and fun moments each day.
少しずつ生活リズムがついてきた頃ということで、４月の下旬に「入園・進級お祝い会」をしましたよ。
子どもたちが普段かぶっているカラー帽子はクラスが上がっても、同じカラーを使用します。
そこで、クラスの名前の動物たちに帽子を被せておくと、あれ？自分のクラスぼ動物が違う色の帽子を被っていると気が付きました。
みんな４月から、ひとつ大きくなったからと一つ大きい学年の動物へと帽子を渡していくと無事に完成！！
As their daily routines began to settle, we held our “Entrance and Advancement Celebration.”
The colored hats that the children usually wear remain the same even when they move up to the next class. During the celebration, we placed the hats on the animals representing each class. The children quickly noticed that their class animals were wearing hats of different colors. We explained that, since they had grown and advanced to the next grade in April, the hats were passed on to the animals representing the next class. The activity was completed successfully, and the children enjoyed it very much.

でも、そもそも大きくなるってどういうこと？？
先生たちにも聞いてみました！
But what does it mean to grow up?
We asked the teachers to share their thoughts:
・ハイハイしていた子がつかまって立てるようになったり、一人で歩けるようになるよ
・ミルクを飲んでいた子が少しづつごはんを食べられるようになるよ
・自分の足でいっぱい歩けるようになっていきたいところに行けるよ
・ジャンプだって出来るようになるよ
・いろんなものを食べて背が伸びるよ
・思っていることを自分の言葉で伝えられるようになるよ
etc…まだまだ挙げたら沢山のことがありますが、
大きくなるってどんな事か担任の先生たちが話してくれたことで、少し子どもたちにも伝わったものがあるようだな、と子どもたちの表情から読み取れました。
* Babies who once crawled can now stand while holding onto something and even walk on their own.
* Children who only drank milk are gradually learning to enjoy meals.
* They are able to walk independently and explore where they want to go.
* They can jump and move more confidently.
* Eating different kinds of food helps them grow taller and stronger.
* They are learning to express their thoughts and feelings in their own words.
And many more wonderful changes…
From the teachers’ stories, we could see from the children’s expressions that they were beginning to understand, little by little, what it means to grow up.
さぁ、ひとつ大きくなったみんなに、新しく一緒に過ごす友だちに自己紹介をしてもらいましょう。
Next, we invited everyone who had “grown up” to introduce themselves to their new friends.

少し前まで前に出てくるのを恥ずかしがっていた子、小さな声で話していた子もいましたが、
今日は積極的に前に出てきていたり、みんなに聞こえるくらいの声の大きさで話していたりとこの短い時間だけでも「おおきくなった」を感じる瞬間がありました。
Some children who used to feel shy about coming to the front or speaking softly were confidently stepping forward and speaking
loudly enough for everyone to hear.
初めましての友だちも司会者が来ると、近くにより自分のことを伝えようとする姿がなんとも可愛らしかったです。
Even children meeting for the first time eagerly approached the host to introduce themselves, which was truly heartwarming and
adorable.
一つ大きくなったクラス、初めましてのクラス・・・園のみんなと共に、
この一年間も沢山のことを経験し、いろんな気持ちを感じたり味わったり、
よく遊んで食べて寝て・・・
心も体もおおきくなーれ♡
In their new classes, together with all their friends and teachers, we look forward to a year filled with many experiences, discoveries, playtime, meals, rest, and growth — both in heart and body.
