Food Education in May~

This month, our children had a great time learning about food through hands-on activities!

Both our younger and older classes took part in fun experiences

that let them touch, make, and taste real food such as cabbage.

They were very curious and couldn’t take their eyes off the cabbage.

The cabbage leaves are so big!
They’re tearing them from the edges, rip rip!

They’re getting better at tearing,
and now the plate is full of cabbage!

The salad made with the cabbage I tore is so tasty!

They carefully made the sandwiches, putting lettuce first, then tuna.

Next up was the sweet cream sandwich.

They shared the cream with their friends, adjusting the amount.
It was heartwarming to see their kindness.

Sandwiches you make yourself sure taste good!

May’s Fun Food Activities

This month, our children had a great time learning about food through hands-on activities! Both our younger and older classes took part in fun experiences that let them touch, make, and taste real food.

The younger children in the Rabbit and Giraffe classes tried tearing cabbage. They were very curious when the big cabbage leaves were brought out. At first, they were careful, but soon they were happily tearing the leaves into small pieces. Later, the cabbage they prepared was used in their lunch salad.

The older children in the Lion group made their own sandwiches. They made two types: a savory one with lettuce and tuna, and a sweet one with whipped cream and fruit. Everyone was excited and worked together nicely, even helping friends with the ingredients. After making their sandwiches, they went to a nearby park and had a picnic. Eating food they made themselves made the day even more special.

Through these activities, the children learned not just about food, but also about teamwork, trying new things, and taking pride in what they make. We look forward to more fun food experiences in the future!
